Fantastic brunch spot in Georgetown! Came here with a large group and the service was great! Our waitress was super knowledgeable and friendly. Tried the local Benedict which was tasty and the Beef bourguignon which is definitely more on the heavier end but still good! Noteworthy that we were told the service charge is not a tip for the waitress but goes to the kitchen. Cool place with tasty food!

Brasserie Liberte in Georgetown was a great find for brunch with my friends after seeing a video on TikTok. Making a reservation was easy, and the place itself is stunning - elegant yet modern with lots of natural light. The mimosas kit was a hit for us, offering a bottle of sparkling with different juices for $40. We started with Escargots as our appetizer, staying true to the French theme. For my main, I went with the steak and eggs, and it did not disappoint. The steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked, and the poached eggs were a nice touch, accompanied by a side salad. My friends ordered the Moules Frites (with gluten free bread, a nice touch they were able to accommodate as one of my friends cannot have gluten, same situation for the bread that comes with the escargots) and the lox benedicts, which they enjoyed as well. Overall, brunch was a great experience, and I can't wait to go back and try their dinner menu.

I haven't spent much time in Georgetown, but I found myself there, and I stopped in at Brasserie Liberte for happy hour on a whim. It had a really nice outdoor seating area, and the inside was gorgeous. I really enjoyed the overall ambiance/vibe. They mostly have wines and beers for happy hour drinks. I'm usually a cocktail girl, but I decided to try the house white. I'm no wine connoisseur, so I can't speak to all the notes and such, but I really enjoyed it (evidenced by the fact that I had 4 glasses). They had several food items for happy hour special (which I always appreciate), so I also ordered the charcuterie board and the macaroni au gratin. The charcuterie board had very fresh ingredients. It was delicious and plentiful. I'm not always a fan of jambon de Bayonne, but theirs was great - not "slimy" at all, as I've had at other places. The macaroni au gratin was also really good. I can be picky about macaroni and cheese, and I thought it was delicious (but also unique). It was very cheesy and filling, and the portion was larger than anticipated, so I had leftovers. It had a great flavor and there was cheese baked on top, which I always am a fan of. Finally, the service was great. My bartender was wonderful - checking in frequently without being overbearing. All of my food arrived quickly, so it was a minimal wait. I will say that I was here on a Friday afternoon, so it wasn't particularly busy, but I had a very positive experience. I look forward to coming back!
